مجمر majmir A (noun of place from جمر Heb. and Chald. ) s. m. 1. A chafingdish. 2. A censer for incense. 3. Perfume.

مطالع mut̤āliﻌ A part. act. (III. of طلع) Con- templating, looking towards. ¶ mat̤āliﻌ, s. plur. of مطلع mat̤laﻌ, q. v.

مومن mūmin A (part. act. IV. of امن Heb. ) 1. adj. Orthodox, faithful, believing. 2. s. m. A musalmān weaver. (Plur. مومنين muminīn). A. P. مومنانه mumin-ānā, adj. Orthodox, faithful. adv. Like a believer.

ماچا māchā मंच S̱. s. m. 1. A large bedstead or platform. 2. A frame, or stage on which they sit to drive away birds, &c. from corn- fields. ماچا توڙ māchā-toṛ, adj. 1. A lazy person who never stirs from his bed. 2. A kind of soldier among the Rājpūts, very indo- lent and much addicted to opium, but active and brave when roused. H. P. ماچه خر mācha-ḵẖar, A stupid foolish fellow.

مسوده musauwada A (part. pass. II. of سود Heb. and Chald. ) s. m. A sketch or rough draught of a letter, &c., the foul or first copy of any writing.

مکٿ मुकुट mukuṭ S s. m. A crown, a crest, a diadem.

موڙها moṛhā H s. m. 1. A stool. 2. The shoulder. See مونڐها monḍhā.

مريدي murīd-ī A. s. f. Scholarship, the state of being a disciple, tuition, instruction.
