محرميت maḥram-īyat A. s. f. The state of being admitted into a sacred place.

محرم muḥarram A (part. pass. II. of حرم Heb. ) 1. adj. Sacred, venerable, forbidden, ex- cluded. 2. (subst.) The name of the first Mu- hammadan month, held sacred on account of the death of Ḥusain, son of Aﻌlī, who was killed by Yazīd, near Kūfa.
