مباف mu-bāf P (مو Hair, and باف q. v.) s. m. A slip of red cloth, a skein of thread or a fillet of brocade tied to the end of the چونٿي chonṭī or cue of hair: see موباف mū-bāf, under مو mū. A plait of hair, a fillet or riband for the hair.

مشار mushār A (part. pass. IV. of شور) adj. Sig- nified, indicated. مشاراليه mushāruṉ-ilaihi, Above-mentioned, aforesaid, said.

مطالبه mut̤ālaba A (inf. III. of طلب) s. m. Asking for, requiring, exaction.

موجه muwajjah A (part. pass. II. of وجه) adj. Agreeable, acceptable.

مـﮩر muhar S̱. s. (dakh.) Peacock: see مور mor. H. مـﮩرا 1. mahrā, s. m. A pālkī-bearer. 2. mihrā, A man who appears in the habit of a woman. 3. muhrā, s. m. Van, vanguard.

منڐل मंडल manḍal S s. m. 1. A circle, orb, sphere, disk (of the sun or moon), halo, cir- cumference. 2. A round tent. 3. An officer employed in villages, exciseman.

مچلکه muchalka T s. m. A bond, a note of hand, an agreement, a written obligation.

مچانا machānā H (caus. of مچنا) v. a. To make, to cause, to stir up, excite, commit, perpetrate, to produce.

مروڙا maroṛā H (from مروڙنا) s. m. A twisting of the bowels, pain in the bowels, flux, gripes. H. S̱. مروڙپهلي maroṛ-phal-ī, s. f. Name of a plant (Helicteres isora) the fruit of which is used in medicine.

مکتوم maktūm A (part. pass. of کتم) adj. Con- cealed.
