قدغن ḳadag̠ẖan P s. f. Injunction, prohibition. قدغن کرنا ḳadag̠ẖan karnā, To enjoin, to prohibit.

قبايل ḳabāʼịl A s. m. plur. (of قبيله from قبل) 1. Family (wife and children, &c.). 2. Tribes.

قرضي ḳarẓ-ī A. adj. Borrowed, on credit.

قحبه ḳaḥba A (from قحب To cough) 1. s. m. A cough. 2. An old woman (subject to coughing). 3. (the usual acceptation in Hindī) s. f. A whore, a prostitute (accustomed to notify her profession by coughing: Gol.). 4. adj. f. Unchaste.

قسميه هونا ḳasam-īya honā A. S̱. v. n. To be sworn, to be bound by oath. بقسميه ba-ḳasam-īya, By oath.

قسر ḳasr A s. m. Violence, compulsion, retalia- tion, revenge.
