قضيه ḳaẓiya A (from قضي) s. m. 1. Declaration, proposition, determination. 2. History, nar- rative. 3. Death. 4. Natura fœminæ, vulva. 5. A syllogism (in logick). 6. (in Hind. and Pers.) A quarrel, wrangling, wrangle, conten- tion, broil, litigation, lawsuit, action at law. (Plur. قضايا). قضيه دلال ḳaẓiya-dallāl, One who excites quarrel, mischiefmaker. قضيه کرنا ḳaẓiya karnā, To quarrel, to wrangle. قضيه مول لينا ḳaẓiya mol lenā, To take on oneʼs self the quarrel of another, to interfere without cause in the disputes of others. A. قط 1. ḳat̤t̤, s. m. Cutting transversely, making a pen. 2. ḳat̤, adj. Sufficient (hence, فقط fa-ḳat̤, Only, merely, alone, &c.). قطزن ḳat̤t̤- zan, s. m. 1. A stamp. 2. قايل ḳāʼịl A part. act. (of قول) 1. Saying, sayer, assertor; confessing, confessor, consenting, agreeing, acknowledging, giving up a point, owning. 2. adj. Subdued, confuted. قايل کرنا ḳaʼịl karnā, To confute, to convince, to convict. قايل هونا ḳaʼịl honā, To acquiesce, acknowledge, confess, consent, assent, to own, yield. (Plur. قاٴيلين ḳāʼịlīn).

قربت ḳurbat A s. f. Nearness, relationship.

قبضه ḳabẓa A (from قبض) s. m. 1. Grasp, gripe (of the hand), clutch; possession. 2. Handle, hilt. قبضه کرنا ḳabẓa karnā, To seize, to take possession of.

قرن ḳarn A (from قرن ḳarana, To join) s. m. 1. Conjunction of the planets. 2. A period of (40, 10, 20, 30, 50, 60, 70, 80, 100, or 120) years. (Ḳām.).

قانت ḳānit A (part. act. of قنوت) adj. 1. Obe- dient to God, devout. 2. Silent.

قياسي ḳiyās-ī A adj. Analogous, analogical, re- gular, conjectural, theoretical.

قراول ḳarāwal T s. m. f. 1. The advanced guard of an army. 2. A sentinel, a piquet. 3. A gamekeeper.

قوي ḳawī A adj. Strong, solid, powerful, vigo- rous. قوي پي ḳawī-pai, Sinewy. قوي دل ḳawī-dīl, Strong in the heart or mind. قوي هيکل ḳawī-haikal, Robust, powerful in body, gigantick.
