قيامت ḳiyāmat A s. f. 1. The general resurrec- tion, the last day. 2. (met.) Calamity, excess. 3. Excessively great, excessive, extremely. قيامت کرنا ḳiyāmat karnā, 1. To oppress. 2. To do any thing wonderful.

قابليت ḳābil-īyat A s. f. Possibility, skill, suf- ficiency, capacity, capability, ability, accom- plishment.

قلوب ḳulūb A s. plur. (of قلب) Hearts, &c.

قبيل ḳabīl A (from قبل) s. m. 1. Species, kind, sort. 2. Family, tribe, kindred, progeny.

قرابين ḳarābīn Fr. s. f. A carbine. (French, ca- rabine).

قدوه ḳidwa A s. m. An example, model, leader.

ققنوس ḳuḳnūs P s. m. The phenix, a fabulous bird.

قسميه هونا ḳasam-īya honā A. S̱. v. n. To be sworn, to be bound by oath. بقسميه ba-ḳasam-īya, By oath.

قريب ḳarīb A (from قرب) adv. Near, neighbouring, nigh, almost, about, akin, relative.

قصر ḳaṣr A (from قصر Heb. and Ch. To cut, to abbreviate, to diminish) s. m. 1. Diminution, defect. 2. Evening twilight (q. d. defect of light). 3. An edifice, a palace, a building, an elegant villa.
