انهت an-hit S̱. 1. adj. Without affection, un- kind, unfriendly; an enemy. 2. s. m. Enmity, disaffection.

اڙهنگن uṛhangan S̱. (اٿهہ Rise, and अंग Body) s. m. Any thing placed under a vessel to prevent its oversetting; a prop, a support.

اقرار iḳrār A (inf. iv. of قرار) s. m. اٿر as̤ar A s. m. A mark, sign, trace, impression, effect. اٿر کرنا as̤ar karnā, To operate, affect.

آکاس आकाश ākās S (or akās), s. m. The fifth element, ether; the sky, the atmosphere, the heavens, the firmament, space. (This element is held by the Hindūs to be more subtle than air, to fill and pervade the universe, and to be the peculiar vehicle of life and sound). آکاس باني ākās-bānī (आकाश The sky, and वाणी Sound) s. f. A voice from heaven; revelation, an oracle.

اکناف aknāf A s. plur. (of کنف) Borders, confines, environs, sides, parts.

اگهورپنتهي aghor-panth-ī अघोरपथी S̱. adj. (used substantively) An order of religious men- dicants professing اگهورپنتهہ aghor-panth; (they eat every thing, however filthy, even human carcasses; hence) a gross or filthy feeder.
