ابیات abyāt A s. plur. (of بیت) Houses; distichs or verses (most commonly).

آراستگي ārāsta-gī P s. f. Preparation, decora- tion, ornament, regularity, arrangement, disposi- tion, improvement, refinement, amendment.

ابهباد abhibād S̱. (अभिवाद from अभि and r. वद Speak) s. m. Obeisance, a bow or pros- tration to a person addressed by name also, an opprobrious or unfriendly speech.

اتپن उत्पन्न उत् and r. पद Go utpann S. adj. Produced; s. Proceeds, profit, produce. S. اتته अतिथि (from अ and तिथि A lunar day) atith or a-tithi, s. m. A guest, pilgrim, stranger, person entitled to the rights of hos- pitality.

الاق ulāḳ T s. f. A kind of small boat.

اوجهڙ aujhaṛ H s. f. Thrust, push.
