فرّاٿا farrāṭā S (see پهـرانا pharrānā, from r. स्फुर Start, throb) s. m. The sound of any thing rushing or fluttering in the air, a rush, a puff.

فراده furāda A plur. (of فرد) Alone, single, so litary.

فراموشگار farāmosh-gār P adj. Forgetful.

فنا fanā A (from فني To vanish, to perish: analog. to Heb. To turn) s. f. Mortality, frailty, perdition, destruction, death. فنا هو جانا fanā hojānā, To perish.

فاق fāḳ A (vulg. fāg, from فوق) s. f. The notch of an arrow, arrow.

فرموده farmūda P part. pass. (of فرمودن) Or- dered, said; s. m. Order, command, precept.

فرشته firishta P (orig. فرسته from فرستن To send) s. m. An angel, an apostle, prophet, missionary, messenger.

فرحت farḥat A s. f. Delight, pleasure, cheer- fulness, joy, amusement. فرحت آثار farḥat- ās̤ār, or فرحت اثر farḥat-as̤ar, adj. Pleasant, happy. فرحت اللقا farḥatu-l-liḳā, 1. Pleasant to look at. 2. The name of a kite, the Pondi- cherry eagle. (Falco ponticerianus). فرحت انجام farḥat-anjām, adj. Of happy issue, suc- cessful. P. فرخ farruḵẖ, adj. Happy, fortunate.

فرض farẓ A s. m. f. Divine command, a duty the omission of which is considered as a mortal sin, an obligation. فرض کرنا farẓ karnā, To consider as a positive indispensable duty, to consider as certain or unquestionable, to grant, admit, assume. فرض هونا farẓ honā, To be in- cumbent, to behoove.

فرقان furḳān A (from فرق as distinguishing truth from falsehood) s. m. The ḳurʼān (Alcoran).
