فسق fisḳ A (Heb. To divaricate) s. m. Adul- tery, obscenity, impudence, iniquity, sin, im- piety, falsehood.

فر far P (Arab. فرّ furr, The best and handsomest) s. m. State, pomp, dignity, splendour, glory, lustre, beauty, grace.

فريب fareb P (prop. fireb, from فريفتن or فريبيدن) 1. s. m. Deceit, trick, deception, fraud, allurement. 2. part. act. (in compos.) فرمايش farmāʼịsh P (from فرمودن) s. f. An order (particularly for goods, &c.), commission, any thing commissioned, pleasure, will, commands.

فريق farīḳ A (from فرق) s. m. A troop, squadron, corps, party. فريقين farīḳain, dual, Both par- ties. فريق ثاني farīḳ-i-s̤ānī, The defendant par- ty in a lawsuit, if consisting of several indivi- duals.

فلاح falāḥ A (from فلح Heb. and Chald. To cut, to plough, to blossom as a flower: Cant. 4, 3. to prosper) s. f. Prosperity, happiness, safety, refuge.

فو fū A s. m. Valerian.

فرزند farzand P s. m. f. A child, son or daugh- ter. فرزند رشيد farzand-i-rashīd, A good child.

فاحشه fāḥisha A (from فحش) s. f. 1. A harlot. 2. Any thing abominable.
