فانوس fānūs : فانوس fānūs P s. f. A shade (to keep the wind from a candle), a lantern, a pharos, lighthouse. فانوس خيال fānūs-i-ḵẖiyāl, or فانوس خيالي fā- nūs-i-ḵẖiyāl-ī, A lantern which revolves by the smoke of the candle within, and has on the sides of it figures of various animals.
