فارغ fārig̠ẖ A (part. act. of فرغ) adj. 1. Free, disengaged, at leisure, ceasing from labour on finishing it. 2. Absolved, discharged. 3. Con- tented. فارغ البال fārig̠ẖu-l-bāl, or فارغ الحال fārig̠ẖu-l-ḥāl, adj. Independent, contented, at ease. فارغ خطي fārig̠ẖ-ḵẖat̤t̤-ī, s. f. A deed of release or discharge, quittance. فارغ هونا fārig̠ẖ honā, To cease on finishing (from).

فاسده fāsida A f. (part. act. of فسد) adj. Vi- cious, perverse, depraved, corrupt, noxious, pernicious, bad. اخلاق فاسده aḵẖlāḳ-i-fāsida, Vicious or bad disposition or manners.

فکر fikr A s. f. and m. 1. Thought, reflection, consideration, opinion, notion, conceit, imagina- tion, idea, care, concern, counsel, advice. 2. Solicitude, anxiety. فکر مند fikr-mand, adj. Thoughtful, anxious. فکر کرنا fikr karnā, To consider, reflect, think, be thoughtful or anxious, to care.

فلاکت falākat A. (in Pers. and Hind. from فلک) s. f. A misfortune, adversity.

فرياد faryād P s. f. Complaint, exclamation, la- mentation, crying out for assistance. فريادرس faryād-ras, A redresser of grievances. فرياد رسي faryād-ras-ī, s. f. Redress, succour. فرياد کرنا faryād karnā, To complain, cry out for assist- ance.

فرود farod P s. m. Descending, alighting, stop- ping; adv. Down, beneath. فرودانا farod ānā, To descend, to come down.

فيلپا fīl-pā P. 1. adj. Having a swelling in the leg, having elephantiasis. 2. s. Elephantiasis.

فتنه fitna A (from فتن To try to tempt) s. m. 1. Calamity, mischief. 2. Sedition, mutiny. 3. Perfidy. 4. Sin, evil, pest. 5. Temptation, seduction. فتنه انگيز fitna-angez, A fomenter of disturbances, an incendiary, a mischiefmaker, seditious, turbulent, insurgent, &c. فتنه انگيزي fitna-angez-ī, s. f. Causing disturbances, sedi- tiousness, mischievousness, &c. فتنه جو fitna- jo, Quarrelsome, seditious. فتنه ساز fitna-sāz, Mischiefmaking, mischiefmaker. فتنه سازي fitna-sāz-ī, s. f. The occasioning of disturbance or trouble. فتنه گر fitna-gar, A seditious per- son, a mischiefmaker.

فحاش faḥḥāsh A adj. (superl. of فحش) Obscene, talking indecently.
