عقده uﻌḳda A (from عقد) s. m. 1. A knot, an ex- crescence (especially, at the joints, or where bones have been broken), a node. 2. An impe- diment in speech. 3. Perplexed affairs, en- tangled things, confused words. عقده کشا uﻌḳda- kushā, Resolver of perplexities or difficulties. عقده کساٴي uﻌḳda-kushā-ī, s. f. The untying or opening of knots or difficulties.

عازم āﻌzim A part. act. (of عزم) Applying the mind to an undertaking, intending, determining, being resolved on, bound (somewhere).

عين aﻌin A (Heb. ) s. f. m. 1. The eye, sight. 2. A fountain. 3. The sun. 4. Money, gold, &c. 5. The very essence, the thing itself. 6. adj. Very, exact, intrinsick, real, just.

عنان iﻌnān A s. f. Reins of a bridle, a bridle.

عبراني iﻌbrānī A adj. Hebrew.

عقرقرحا aﻌḳarḳarḥā A. s. m. The name of a medi- cine. See عاقرقرحا.

عطف aﻌt̤f A s. m. Favour, affection, kindness, a present, bounty. حرف عطف ḥarf-i-aﻌt̤f, A co- pulative conjunction.

علاج iﻌlāj A (from علج To overcome) s. m. f. A remedy, medicine, cure. علاج کرنا iﻌlāj karnā, To cure, to remedy, to apply a remedy.

عبث aﻌbas̤ A 1. adj. Vain, idle, absurd, trifling, profitless. 2. adv. In vain, idly, absurdly, uselessly. 3. subst. Vanity, absurdity.

علما uﻌlamā A s. plur. (of عالم āﻌlim) The learned.
