طوفاني t̤ūfān-ī A. adj. 1. Stormy, tempestuous, of a deluge. 2. (met.) Quarrelsome, boisterous.

طغرا t̤ug̠ẖrā A s. m. 1. The royal titles prefixed to publick papers. 2. A sort of writing.

طپان t̤apāṅ P part. act. (of طپيدن) Palpitating, flouncing, agitated.

طراره t̤arrāra A. s. m. Quickness, expedition. طراره بهـرنا t̤arrāra bharnā, To stretch out, or bound (a horse at full speed). طراره زبان t̤ar- rāra-zabān, Chattering, eternal clack.

طاقي t̤āḳī A. 1. adj. Wall-eyed (a horse). 2. Arched. 3. s. f. Froth of urine.

طل t̤all A s. The dew.

ط t̤oʼe or in Arabic t̤ā, called طاي مہمله or طاي غيرمنقوطه the sixteenth letter of the Arabic al- phabet, does not occur in pure Persian; but, in compliance with Arabic orthography, it is some- times introduced in Persian words which were originally written with ت; as, طبرزد for تبرزد, Sugar-candy; طبرخون for تبرخون, Red sanders.

طبق t̤abaḳ A s. m. (dakh. s. f.) 1. A cover. 2. A plate, a dish, a leaf, a disk. 3. Gold leaf, tinfoil, &c. 4. One thing following another or consecutive; the story of a house, a layer or stratum, &c. class, order, degree.
