طامات t̤āmāt P s. Inconsistent words, unintelli- gible talk, words barbarously uttered.

طلاوت t̤alāwat A (from طلا) s. f. Grace, beauty, elegance.

طامع t̤āmiﻌ A (part. act. of طمع) adj. Covetous, greedy, desirous.

طراري t̤arrārī A. s. f. Quickness, fluency. A. P. طراز t̤irāz (or t̤arāz) s. m. 1. Lace, fringe, embroidery, &c. any ornament on the border of a garment. 2. Manner, form. 3. part. act. (from طرازيدن) in compos. Adorning, ornamenting with needlework.

ط t̤oʼe or in Arabic t̤ā, called طاي مہمله or طاي غيرمنقوطه the sixteenth letter of the Arabic al- phabet, does not occur in pure Persian; but, in compliance with Arabic orthography, it is some- times introduced in Persian words which were originally written with ت; as, طبرزد for تبرزد, Sugar-candy; طبرخون for تبرخون, Red sanders.

طيطوي t̤ait̤awī A s. Name of a bird. See ٿٿيـﮩري ṭaṭīhrī.

طواف t̤awāf A (from طوف) s. f. Turning, en- compassing, pilgrimage, making the circuit of Mecca or of some other holy place.

طوطا t̤otā H s. m. A parrot.

طبرزد t̤abarzad P s. Finest white sugar very hard or candied.

طويل t̤awīl A (from طول) adj. Long, tall, prolix, diffuse.
