صرفه ṣarfa A s. f. 1. Expense, expending. 2. Profusion, profit, utility, surplus, redundancy, addition. 3. The twelfth mansion of the moon, a star in the tail of Leo.

صانع ṣāniﻌ A part. act. (of صنع) Artificer, maker, creator.

صبان ṣabāṅ A. s. (dakh. from صباح) The morn, the morrow; in the morning. A.P. صباٴي ṣabāʼī, adj. Of the gentle breeze, &c.

صرير ṣarīr A s. f. The scratching sound of a pen, the grating of a door, &c.

صداع ṣudāﻌ A (from صدع To split) s. m. Vertigo, megrim, headach.

صمداني ṣamdān-ī A adj. Divine.

صافي ṣāf-ī A. 1. s. f. (from صاف) Cleanness, pu- rity. 2. Sincerity, candour. 3. A filter or cloth through which drinks, medicines, &c. are strained, a strainer. 4. part. act. (of صفو) Pure, clean, &c. See صاف ṣāf. صافي نامه ṣāfī- nāma, s. m. A general release, discharge from an obligation. See under راضي rāẓī.

صراحي ṣurāḥī A (from صرح) s. f. A goblet, a long-necked flask, a flagon. صراحي بردار ṣurā- ḥī-bardār, The carrier of the flask or goblet. صراحي دار ṣurāḥī-dār, adj. Shaped in the form of a ṣurāḥī (a pearl).
