سيندهيا sendhiyā H s. m. 1. Poison. 2. s̱. (from سيندهہ) A thief making a sendh, q. v., a house- breaker. 3. Name of a Mahārātta tribe (pro- bably so named as originating on the banks of the river Sindh).

سيپ sīp H s. f. 1. A shell. 2. A kind of mango.

سناهٿا sannāhaṭā H s. m. Whistling or rumbling of wind, &c. See سناٿا sannāṭā.

ستکهنا satkhanā S̱. (सप्त Seven, and खंड Part) adj. Of seven divisions or stories (a house, &c.). S̱. H. ستلڙا sat-laṛ-ā, adj. Sevenfold, of seven strings or rows (a chain of pearls, &c.). ستلڙي sat- laṛ-ī, s. f. A necklace of seven strings.

سٿنا saṭnā S̱. (from सन्नद्ध Bound together) v. n. To join, to adhere, to stick, to unite. ¶ (dakh.) v. a. To throw, to cast.

سامني sāmne S̱. (from سامنا) postpos. or adv. In front, fronting, before, confronting, opposite.

سوندايگي soṅdāʼegī S̱. s. f. (dakh.) Fragrance: see سوندهاهٿ.

سہم sahm P s. m. Fear, dread. سہمناک sahm- nāk, adj. 1. Frightened. 2. Horrible, terrible.

سوکيا स्वकीया swakīyā S adj. f. Own, of oneʼs own family. See سگا sagā.

سونتنا sūntnā H v. a. 1. To strip leaves off vegetables. 2. To draw (a sword).
