موتهي mothī S̱. or mūthī, s. m. (dakh.) Pearl: see موتي motī.

موتي motī मौक्तिक S̱. s. m. A pearl. موتي پروني motī pirone, 1. To string pearls. 2. (met.) To speak eloquently. 3. To weep (the tears being compared to pearls). Tapish says: سن سنکي ذکراشک ومژه مجهسي يون کہا جب تب نه آپ ايسي هي موتي پروينگي Sun sunke ẕikr-i-ashk o mizha mujh-se yūṅ kahā; jab tab na āp aise hī motī piroʼenge, Having repeatedly heard of my tears and eye- lashes, she said, will you ever and anon be

موتي چور motī-chūr S. s. m. 1. A kind of sweet- meat. 2. A certain description of eye among pigeons.

موتيا motiyā H s. m. The name of a flower. (Jasminum zambac, var. b: Roxb.).

موتيابند motiyā-bind मुक्ताविंदु S̱. s. m. The name of a kind of blindness. Gutta serena.

ناگر موتها nāgar-mothā नागरमुस्तक S̱. s. m. Name of a sweet smelling grass. (Cyperus pertenuis: Roxb.). (Cyperus juncifolius or rush-leaved cyperus: Qanoon-e-islam, gloss. p. lxxvi).

گجموتي gaj-motī S̱. s. m. An elephant pearl (it being a popular idea of the Hindūs, that the finest pearls are to be found in the heads of elephants).
