رفعت raf-aﻌt A s. f. Elevation, height, altitude, promotion, dignity, eminence, nobility.

رخصت ruḵẖṣat A (from رخص Was cheap, easy, remiss. Chald. Hoped, trusted) s. f. Leave, license, congé, dismission, discharge, permission, indulgence. رخصت دينا ruḵẖṣat denā, To permit, to dismiss, to give leave to go. رخصت طلب ruḵẖṣat-t̤alab, Asking leave to depart. رخصت کرنا ruḵẖṣat-karnā, To permit, to give leave, to dismiss. رخصت هونا ruḵẖṣat honā, To depart, to have leave to depart. A. P. رخصتانه ruḵẖṣat-āna, s. m. A parting or farewell present.

رفا rafā A (Heb. To heal; to repair) s. m. Mending (a garment), cementing broken friend- ship, quieting, pacifying, peace, tranquillity.

روبراه rū-ba-rāh P adj. 1. Setting out; fit for business, adjusted, prepared. 2. Reformed, returned from an erroneous course.

ربيع الاول rabīʼuﻌ-ḷ-auwal A The third month, and ربيع الاخر rabīʼuﻌ-lʼāḵẖir or ربيع الثاني rabīʼuﻌ-s̤- s̤ānī, The fourth month of the Muhammadan year. The 9th and 12th days of the former are festivals.

To quit a path, or take a short cut. راه کرنا rāh karnā, To contract friendship. راه کهوٿي کرني rāh khoṭī karnī, To linger on the road. راه گذر rāh-guẕar, s. m. 1. Road, way. 2. A traveller. راه گير rāh-gīr, s. m. A travel- ler, wayfarer. راه لگنا rāh lagnā, To follow oneʼs own devices. راه لينا rāh lenā, To go, to depart. راه مارنا rāh mārnā, 1. To waylay, to rob. 2.
