A kind of dish. روغن داغ raug̠ẖan-dāg̠ẖ, s. m. A vessel for boiling butter in. روغن زرد raug̠ẖan-i-zard, s. m. Boiled butter. روغن فروش raug̠ẖan-fa- rosh, s. m. An oil-merchant.

رات rāt रात्रि S̱. s. f. Night. رات تهوڙي اورسانگ بـﮩت rāt thoṛī aur sāng bahut, is applied to express a hurry of business with little time to perform it in; also great expense with a small income. Mīr says:-- بن جو کچهـ بن سکي جواني مين رات تهوڙي هي اوربـﮩت هي سانگ Ban jo kuchh ban sake jawānī meṇ; rāt thoṛī hai aur bahut hai sāng, Acquire whatever you can in the season of youth: the task is arduous and the time short. (Ars longa vita brevis. Hippoc.). آدهي رات ādhī rāt, Midnight. راتون رات rātoṅ rāt, In the middle of the night.

رسيده rasīda P (from رسيدن) part. pass. Arrived, received, ripe, overtaken by. (Plur. رسيدگان).

روز roz P (or roj) s. m. A day. روز افزون roz-afzūn, Increasing daily. روز باعيش roz bā- aﻌish, A good day (to you). روز بروز roz ba-roz, adv. Daily, constantly. روز به roz-bih, Fortunate days, happy times, prosperity. روزجزا roz-i-jazā, Day of judgment. روزگذاري roz-guzār-ī, s. f. Passing of time. روزسياه roz-i-siyāh, Adversity, misfortune, trouble. روزوشب roz-o-shab, Day and night, always, constantly. روزشمار roz-i-shumār, The day of (reckoning) judgment.
