دهرتري dhartarī S̱. s. f. See دهرتي dhartī.

دهريچا dharīchā H s. m. The second husband of a Hindū widow among the lower classes. (This connexion, being contrary to the spirit of the Hindū institutions, is formed without any par- ticular ceremony, except marking the brideʼs head with minium).

داعيه dāʼīﻌya A (from دعا) s. m. Petition, plaint, desire, wish.

دهرو dhrū ध्रुव S̱. s. m. The pole (of the earth), the polar star.

دير dair P s. m. A temple where idols are wor- shipped.

دهکيل dhakel H s. m. Shove, push, thrust. See ڐهکيل ḍhakel. دهکيل دينا dhakel denā, To push, to precipitate.

دهنڐلانا dhanḍlānā H v. n. (dakh.) To wander without profit, to run about uselessly.

دوال doʼāl P s. f. A leather strap, a belt. دوال پا doʼāl-pā, adj. 1. Webfooted. 2. A fabulous race with legs like thongs, who are said to deceive and devour unwary travellers.

دنکر दिनकर दिन Day, and कर Who makes dinkar S. s. m. The sun.
