درخشنده daraḵẖshanda P (from درخشيدن) part. act. Shining, glittering, lucid, refulgent.

دهتوريا dhatūriyā S̱. (from دهتورا which deprives a person of reason) A cheat, an impostor.

درمانده dar-mānda P (part. pass. of درماندن) adj. Helpless, destitute, without remedy.

دهساو dhasāʼo H (from دهسنا) s. m. A slough, bog, quagmire, a swamp.

دراج darrāj A s. A hedge-hog.

داگ dāg P. s. m. For داغ dāg̠ẖ, q. v.

دها dah-ā P (from ده Ten) s. m. 1. The first ten days of the Muḥarram: called also عشره and عاشورا 2. The models of the tombs of Ḥasan and Ḥusain, or the model of a building containing the tombs, which are carried about in procession during those ten days. On the tenth day the tombs are buried, or in some places thrown into water: the building, if made of cheap materials, shares the same fate: if costly, it is carried back and deposited in the dargāh or Karbalā.

دروان dar-wān P (در Door, and وان Keeper) s. m. A doorkeeper. (Sans. द्वारवान्).
