ديوان dīwān P s. m. 1. A tribunal, divan. 2. A steward, a minister or secretary. 3. A book of poems, the rhymes of the different poems ending successively with every letter of the al- phabet. ديوان اعليٰ dīwān-i-aﻌlạ̄, s. m. A prime minister, wazīr. ديوان خاص dīwān-i-ḵẖāṣṣ, s. m. Privy council chamber, cabinet-council. ديوان خانه dīwān-ḵẖāna, 1. A tribunal, an office. 2. A court, hall, hall of audience. ديوان عام dīwān-i-āﻌm, Publick hall of audience. ديوان پن dīwān-pan, s. m. for ديوانه پن dīwāna-pan, q. v.

دهاوا dhāwā S̱. (from धावन) s. m. 1. Running. 2. Overrunning an enemyʼs country, attack, assaulting. 3. A stock, a store. 4. Crowding together. 5. Name of a tree. دهاوامارنا dhāwā mārnā, To go expeditiously from a distant place, to run on or about.
