خراشي ḵẖarāsh-ī P (in compos.) s. f. Scratching, lacerating.

خفيه ḵẖufya A (from خفا) 1. adj. Disguised, concealed. 2. (Also خفيتا ḵẖufyataṉ) adv. Secretly. خفيه نويس ḵẖufya-nawīs, s. m. One whose business is to write intelligence secretly; intelligencer, informer. خفيه نويسي ḵẖufya-na- wīs-ī, s. f. Secret intelligence writing.

خلوت ḵẖalwat A (from خلا) s. f. 1. Retirement, solitude, privacy, a closet, private apartment, private conference. خلوت خانه ḵẖalwat-ḵẖāna, s. m. A place of retirement, private apartment, closet, cabinet. خلوت کرنا ḵẖalwat karnā, To closet or be closeted. خلوتگاه ḵẖalwat-gāh, s. f. A place of retirement. خلوت گزين ḵẖalwat- guzīn, adj. Recluse; (met.) A hermit. خلوت نشين ḵẖalwat-nishīn, adj. Retired: (met.) A hermit. خلوت وجلوت مين ḵẖalwat o jalwat meṅ, In private and in publick.

خوجه ḵẖoja P s. m. An eunuch.

خارجي ḵẖārij-ī A s. m. A sect of Muhammadans, who do not reckon Aﻌlī among the legal succes- sours of the prophet. They are the mortal enemies of the Rāfiẓīs or Shīʼaﻌs, who reject

Well-formed, elegant. خوش اطوار ḵẖụsh-at̤wār, adj. Mannerly, wellbred. خوش اقرار ḵẖụsh-iḳrār, Good in promising. خوش الحان ḵẖụsh-ilḥān, adj. Sweetly singing. خوش الحاني ḵẖụsh-ilḥān-ī, s. f. Sweet singing, melody. خوشا مد ḵẖụsh-āmad, s. f. Flattery. خوشا مد کرنا ḵẖụsh-āmad karnā, To flatter, com- pliment. خوشامدي ḵẖụshāmad-ī, s. f. Flattery. ¶ s. A flatterer. خوش آنا ḵẖụsh ānā, To be agreeable or pleasing (to), to be acceptable (to). خوش اندام ḵẖụsh-andām, adj. Well-formed. خوش آواز ḵẖụsh-āwāz or خوش آهنگ ḵẖụsh -āhang, With a sweet voice. خوش آوازي ḵẖụsh- āwāz-ī, s. f. Sweetness of voice. خوش آيند ḵẖụsh-āyand or خوش آينده ḵẖụsh-āyanda, adj. Pleasantly coming; flattering (caresses), grate- ful, wholesome, amiable, agreeable, pleasing, charming. خوش باش ḵẖụsh-bāsh, adj. Free to stay or depart, unrestrained. خوش باشي ḵẖụsh- bāsh-ī, s. f. Liberty to stay or go, a welcome. خوش بو see خوشبو ḵẖụsh-bo. خوش بودار see خوشبودار ḵẖụshbo-dār. خوش بيان ḵẖụsh-bayān, adj. Eloquent, perspicuous. خوش بياني ḵẖụsh- bayān-ī, s. f. Eloquence. خوش پرکار ḵẖụsh- purkar, Well-proportioned, well-shaped. خوش پوشاک ḵẖụsh-poshāk, adj. Well-dressed. خوش تراش ḵẖụsh-tarāsh, adj. Well-made, elegantly cut or shaped. خوش ترکيب ḵẖụsh-tarkīb,
