خريف ḵẖarīf A (from خرف See a. خرفه) s. f. Autumn, the autumnal harvest.

خوشنودي ḵẖụshnūd-ī P s. f. Good pleasure, sa- tisfaction.

خرخاوند ḵẖar-ḵẖāwind P s. m. Master, owner, possessor. (Spoken contemptuously).

خوشبو ḵẖụsh-bo P 1. adj. Sweet-smelling, fra- grant, odoriferous. 2. s. f. Perfume, odour. خوشبودار ḵẖụsh-bo-dār, adj. Aromatick, odori- ferous, fragrant.

خم ḵẖum P s. m. f. A large jar, an alembick, a still. (Sans. कुंभ) خم چڙهانا ḵẖum chaṛhānā, v. a. To boil cloths preparatory to washing.

خرچي ḵẖarch-ī A 1. s. f. Price of stupration. 2. adj. Prodigal. 3. Provision for a journey.

خاص ḵẖāṣṣ A (vulg. ḵẖāṣ, from خصّ Heb. To cut, to divide, to appropriate) adj. 1. Ex- cellent, noble, pure, unmixed. 2. Particular, private, what is kept for the kingʼs (or the mas- terʼs) private use, own, proper, peculiar, single, gentle. 3. adv. Especially, peculiarly. خاص بردار ḵẖāṣṣ-bardār, s. m. A servant who, in a great manʼs retinue, carries a firelock. خاص خواص ḵẖāṣṣ-ḵẖaẉāṣṣ, A royal female servant. خاصدان ḵẖāṣṣ-dān, A kind of canteen to carry water-vessels in. خاص محل ḵẖāṣṣ-maḥal, s. m. Private apartment, the apartments of married women (in opposition to ḵẖụrd-maḥal); met. First married wife. خاص وعام ḵẖāṣṣ o āﻌmm, Noble and plebeian.

خورسند ḵẖụrsand P adj. Contented, pleased.

خلعت ḵẖilʼaﻌt A or ḵẖalʼaﻌt, s. m. and f. A dress, robe of honour, with which princes confer dignity on subjects. خلعت پـﮩرانا يا دينا ḵẖilʼaﻌt -pahrānā or -denā, To invest with a robe of honour.

خبرت ḵẖibrat A s. f. 1. Wisdom, learning. 2. Experience, experiment, trial, proof.
