خواه ḵẖẉāh P 1. part. act. (of خواستن) in compos. Wishing, requiring, soliciting, desiring; as, ترقيخواه taraḳḳī-ḵẖẉāh, Wishing increase. دولتخواه daulat-ḵẖẉāh, Wishing prosperity. 2. conj. Either, or, whether. 3. part. pass. as, خاطرخواه ḵẖāt̤ir-ḵẖẉāh, The desire of oneʼs heart. خواه مخواه ḵẖẉāh ma-ḵẖẉāh or خواه نخواه ḵẖẉāh na-ḵẖẉāh or خواهي نه خواهي ḵẖẉāhī na ḵẖẉāhī, adv. 1. Willing or not willing, nolens volens. 2. Certainly, positively, abso- lutely, at all events.

خمکده ḵẖum-kada P s. m. A tavern.

خنازير ḵẖanāzīr A s. plur. (of خنزير) Hogs; ulcers in the neck or scrofula.

خوزدي ḵẖụzadī P. (for خودزاذي from خود Self, and زاده Born) adj. f. Undressed, unadorned (a woman).

خراشي ḵẖarāsh-ī P (in compos.) s. f. Scratching, lacerating.

خدمت ḵẖidmat A s. f. Service, attendance, em- ployment, ministry, office, appointment, duty, use. (Arab. plur. خدمات ḵẖidmāt). خدمت کرنا ḵẖidmat karnā, 1. To serve, to attend, to wait on. 2. (met.) To satirize, to beat. خدمتگار ḵẖidmat-gār, s. m. A butler, a servant, attend- ant. خدمتگاري ḵẖidmat-gār-ī, s. f. Attendance, service, ministry. A. P. خدمتگذاري ḵẖidmat-guẕār-ī, s. f. Service, readiness to serve.

خلد ḵẖuld A s. m. Eternity, paradise.

خلا ḵẖalā A (Heb. ) s. m. Vacancy, vacuity. خلا ملا ḵẖalā-malā, Unfeigned friendship.

خرجي ḵẖurjī P. (for خرجين or خورچين) s. f. A portmanteau, a wallet, a sack, especially one of skin or leather. See خورجين. A. H. خرچنا ḵẖarachnā (from خرج) v. a. 1. To expend, spend. 2. To sell. 3. To bring out, utter.
