خطي ḵẖat̤t̤-ī A adj. 1. Linear, in writing, of the beard, &c. 2. or ḵẖit̤t̤ī, Of ḵẖat̤t̤ or ḵẖit̤t̤ (spears, so named from the place where they were bought).

خاکستر ḵẖākistar P s. f. Ashes, calx. خاکسترکرنا ḵẖākistar karnā, v. a. To calcine. خاکسترهونا ḵẖākistar honā, v. n. To calcine.

خراشي ḵẖarāsh-ī P (in compos.) s. f. Scratching, lacerating.

خوان ḵẖẉān P 1. s. m. A tray. خوانچه ḵẖẉān- cha, s. m. A small tray. خوان پوش ḵẖẉān- posh, s. m. A cloth for covering a tray, a tray lid. 2. part. act. (from خواندن) used in compos. Reading, singing, repeating, reader.
