حکم ḥukm A s. m. Order, command, decree, sentence, doom, award, authority, jurisdiction, precept, effect, influence, efficiency, permis- sion, article (of faith, &c.). حساب ḥisāb A (from حسب) s. m. Computa- tion, calculation, reckoning, accounts, account. حساب پاک کرنا ḥisāb pāk karnā, To clear accounts. حساب پاک هونا ḥisāb pāk honā, To be cleared or settled (accounts). حساب دان ḥisāb-dān, s. m. An arithmetician. حساب رکهنا ḥisāb rakhnā, To keep account of, to register. حساب رفع کرنا ḥisāb rafﻌ karnā, To settle ac- counts. حساب کتاب ḥisāb kitāb, s. m. Ac- counts. حساب کرنا ḥisāb karnā, To calculate. حساب لينا ḥisab lenā, To take an account. حساب نويس ḥisāb nawīs, s. m. An accountant.

حاذق ḥāẕiḳ A (from حذق Was acute, pricked, stimulated) adj. Ingenious, skilful, penetrating, intelligent, excelling, adept.

حزن ḥuzn A s. m. Grief, sadness, affliction, sorrow (plur. احزان aḥzān).

حرمت ḥurmat A (from حرم) s. f. 1. Dignity, character. 2. Chastity, honour. 3. Reverence, esteem. حرمت توڙنا ḥurmat toṛnā, To disgrace. حرمت دينا ḥurmat denā, 1. To bestow ho- nour, exalt, dignify. 2. To lose oneʼs charac- ter, to incur disgrace. حرمت کرنا ḥurmat kar- nā, To treat respectfully, to honour. حرمت لينا ḥurmat lenā, 1. To violate, to ravish. 2. To disgrace.

حناٴي ḥinnā-ī A adj. Of the colour of ḥinnā, stained with ḥinnā.

حضيض ḥaẓīẓ A (from حض) 1. adj. Low. 2. s. f. The lower extremity or surface of any thing. 3. The foot of a mountain. 4. (in astronomy) The lower apsis in an eccentrick orbit (opposed to اوج auj).

حربه ḥarba A s. m. Arms, warlike apparatus. حربه کرنا ḥarba karnā, To attack, to thrust (at).

حقيقتا ḥaḳīḳat-aṉ A adv. Really, truly, in truth, in reality.
