چهوٿا chhoṭā क्षुद्र S̱. adj. Little, small, less, younger, junior, least, &c. چهوٿا بڙا chhoṭā baṛā, adj. Varied, variegated, various, great and small, high and low.

چوري chor-ī S̱. (चोरीय or चौर्य्य) s. f. Theft, robbery, stealth. چوري چوري chorī-chorī, adv. By stealth. clandestinely.

چٿاٴي chaṭāʼī H s. f. A mat. چٿاٴي بچهانا cha- ṭāʼī bichhānā, v. a. To mat, to spread a mat.

چمڙا chamṛā चर्म्म S̱. s. m. Leather, a hide, a skin. چمڙا-ادهيڙنا-چهڙانا-کهينچنا-نکالنا chamṛā- udheṛnā, -chhuṛānā, -khainchnā, or -nikālnā, To flay, to skin.

چوگاني chaugānī H s. f. A straight ḥuḳḳa-snake or tube for smoking through. S̱. P. چوگرد chau-gird, adv. On all sides. s. Neigh- bourhood, district.

چاٿي chāṭī H s. f. A churn.

چکوي chakwī चक्रवाकी S̱. s. f. The female of the چکوا chakwā, ruddy goose (Anas casarca).

چوندهلا chondhlā H adj. Dim, purblind, dim- sighted.

چاليسا chālīs-ā S̱. s. m. 1. A dimness of sight which is supposed to come on at forty years of age, and often to be removed on approaching the forty-eighth or fiftieth year. 2. The for- tieth year of any era, or of the century.
