چراؤ chirāʼo S̱. s. m. (dakh.) Slit, rent, cleft.

چپٿنا chapaṭnā चिपिट S̱. v. n. To be flat- tened.

چهٿکانا chhiṭkānā H (trans. of چهٿکنا) v. a. To dissipate, disperse, scatter, strew, squirt.

چهوڙنا chhoṛnā S̱. (trans. of چهٿنا chhuṭnā, q. v.) v. a. To let go, emit fire, emit, forgive, forsake, leave, quit, desert, except, loose, free, omit, pardon, release, resign, discharge, lay aside, shoot, fire (a gun, &c), spare, abandon, abdi- cate, abstain, breathe.

چٿيا chuṭiyā H 1. s. m. A spy to thieves, the head of a gang of thieves. 2 (चूडा) s. f. A lock of hair left on the head when the rest is shaved.

چنديري chanderī H s. f. Name of a place.

چهلاوا chhalāwā S̱. (from چهلنا chhalnā) s. m. Ig- nis fatuus, will-oʼ-the-wisp.

چتربهوجن चित्रभोजन चित्र Strange, and भोजन Food chitr-bhojan S. s. m. Change of diet, eating of unusual food.

چمگادڙ chamgādaṛ H s. m. A bat.

چچا chachā H s. m. Paternal uncle, fatherʼs brother.
