چبينا chabenā चर्वण S̱. s. m. Parched grain to exercise the teeth with when more substan- tial food is not at hand.

چوپ chop H s. f. Desire, wish, hope. See چونپ chomp.

چاهيتا chāhītā S̱. (from इच्छा Desire) adj. Agree- able, desirable, beloved; sub. A sweetheart, one beloved, a darling.

چهب chhab छवि S̱. s. f. 1. Beauty, splen- dour, brilliancy. 2. (Arab. شبه) Shape, form, figure. چهب تختي chhab-taḵẖtī, s. f. Hand- someness. چهبچهين (छविक्षीण) chhabi-chh̤īṇ, adj. Beauty, emaciated or slender, faded in splendour, small in shape.

چاکهنا chākhnā S̱. (चाषण r. चष Eat, taste) v. a. To enjoy, to relish, to taste. S. چال चाल (r. चल Move) chāl, s. f. Gait, mo- tion, movement, pace, procedure, habit, custom, practice, method, way. چال پکڙنا chāl pakaṛ- nā, To prevail. چال چلنا chāl chalnā, To be- have. چال ڐهال chāl-ḍhāl, s. f. Gait, motion, procedure, manners, behaviour, breeding, politeness. چال ملنا chāl milnā, To smell a rat.

چت chit H 1. s. Look, glance, sense. 2. adj. Supine, lying flat on the back. چت کرنا chit karnā, To throw (oneʼs adversary) on his back (a term in wrestling), to discomfit, to overcome in battle.

چرچک चर्चक charchak S s. m. An arguer.

چهندنا chhandnā H v. n. To be tied.

چهلانا chhulānā H (caus. of چهونا) v. a. To cause to touch.

چکش chakish P (from چکيدن) s. f. The drip- ping or dropping (of water, &c.).
