چتاونا chitāʼonā S̱. v. a. See چتانا chitānā.

چکر चक्र chakkar S or chakr, s. m. 1. A whirl- wind or whirlpool. 2. A discus or sharp cir- cular missile weapon. (It was with this instru- ment, called सुदर्शनचक्र that Vish̤ṇu cut off the head of the Asur Rāhu, when, after churning the ocean, the Surs or gods, and Asurs fought for the amr̤ita or nectar). چکردهاري चक्रधारी chakr-dhārī, A peacock, Vish̤ṇu. 3. A circular course, the lounge (in manage). چکرکهانا chakkar khānā (dakh. i. q. فريب کهانا) To be deceived or tricked. چکرمارنا chakr mārnā, To wheel round, to whirl round. گهوڙيکوچکردينا ghoṛe ko chakkar denā, To lounge a horse. 4. (met.) A misfortune, scrape, per- plexity. 5. A side or quarter; as, چـﮩون چکرمين chahūṅ chakkar meṅ, On the four sides, on all sides. چکرورتي चक्रवर्त्ती chakr-vartī, s. m. 1. A universal monarch. 2. A title of Brāhmans in Bengal.

چيتنا chītnā S̱. 1. (r. चित्र) v. a. To draw, to paint. 2. (चिंतन) To wish, to think or imagine. S. چيتنيه चैतन्य (r. चित Think) chaitanya, s. m. 1. Reason, understanding, caution, per- ception, the possession of the proper use of the faculties; adj. In possession of the senses, awake, rational, sensitive, cautious, attentive, aware, perceiving. 2. An animal or sentient being.

Of four folds. چو جگي chau-jug-ī, adj. Of the four ages or great periods. چو دهير chau-dhīr, (dakh.) See اطراف at̤rāf. چو رس chau-ras, adv. (dakh.) On all sides, all round. چو کدهن chau-kudhan (dakh.) Four sides, (on) the four sides. چو کهوت chau-khūt (dakh.) See اطراف at̤rāf. چو گوشي chau-gosh-ī, s. f. An animal whose ears are slit (particularly, a horse. Such is generally taught to amble). چو محلا chau- maḥall-ā, adj. Of four stories (a house, &c.). چو مکهي chau-mukh-ī, adj. Four-faced, having four faces. چو ميخا chau-meḵẖ-ā, Tying the elbows behind.
