چنبلا chamblā H s. m. See چمل chammal.

چکچهوندي chakchhūndī छुछुन्दरी S̱. s. f. A musk-rat. (Sorex cærulescens: Shaw. Sorex cæruleus: Turton).

چهاتي chhātī छत्र S̱. s. f. An umbrella.

چتراٴي chaturāʼī S̱. s. f. (चतुरता or चातुरी) Cunning, cleverness, sliness, wisdom, expertness, knowledge.

چهٿنا chhaṭnā S̱. (r. चट Separate) 1. s. m. A kind of sieve. 2. v. n. To decay, to separate, to be pruned, to be picked out.

چهوني chhaunī S̱. (see چهاوني chhāʼonī) s. f. Bar- racks, cantonments.

چهٿـﮩ‍ا chhaṭahā H adj. Waspish, peevish.

چاندني chāndnī चान्द्री S̱. s. f. 1. The moon- beams, moonlight. 2. Name of a flower. 3. A cloth spread over a carpet. 4. Any thing white and shining. چاندني چوک chāndnī-chauk, s. m. A wide and publick street or market. چاندني رات chāndnī-rāt, A moonlight night. چاندني کا مارجانا chāndnī kā mār jānā, v. n. To be affected with a disease supposed to proceed from a stroke of the moon (a horse).
