جيو जीव jīw S or jīʼū, or jyū, s. m. 1. Life, soul; animated being, animal. 2. A sweet- heart, a lover. 3. interj. جازم jāzim A part. act. (from جزم) Having the property of rendering the last letter of a word quiescent.

جلاب jullāb A s. m. A purge. (q. d. Drawing, from جلب Drew; and, in this sense, it is generally used in India: but, Golius says) A mixture of water and sirup (perfumed with rose- water, from Pers. گل A rose, and آب Water); hence, julap. S̱.H. جلا بلا jalā-balā, adj. 1. Fretful, passionate. 2. Scorched. See جل بل. S̱.H. جلا بهنا jalā-bhunā, adj. Passionate, hot-tem- pered. S̱.H. جلاپا jalāpā, s. m. (dakh.) Envy, anger.

جيتا jetā यावत् S̱. adj. As much as, so much. جيتاکه jetā ki, adv. Though, although.
