اده پت अधिपति adhpat S or adhi-pati, s. m. A prince, a commander, a master.

اده अध adha S prep. Down, downwards, below. The reverse of उत् ut.

اده अधि adhi S prep. Over, above, upon. It implies superiority (in place, quality, or quan- tity) and is the reverse of अप apa.

ادهرمي अधर्मी a-dharm-ī S adj. Unjust, sin- ful, criminal, immoral, impious.

ادهم अधम adham S adj. Inferiour, low, mean, vile, despicable, contemptible.

ادهن अधन a-dhan S adj. Poor, destitute.

ادهني अधनी a-dhanī S adj. Poor, indigent.

ادهومکهہ अधोमुख अधस् Down, and मुख Face adho-mukh S. adj. With the head down- wards (as the Hindūs practise in the tapasyā), looking downwards, drooping the head (from grief or shame), headlong.

ادهک अधिक adhik S adj. Exceeding, exces- sive, greater, more, most, additional, augmented.

ادهکار अधिकार adhikār S s. m. A kingdom, a government, an estate, a right, a privilege, an inheritance.

ادهکاري अधिकारी adhikār-ī S adj. Posses- sing a right or title to. s. m. A proprietor, one invested with power and authority.
