ايمه aima A. s. m. (for aʼịmma, plur. of امام but used to denote) Land given as a reward or fa- vour by the king at a very low rent, a fief. (When no rent is paid, the land is called لااخراج lā ḵẖirāj). Charity lands. ايمه دار aima-dār, One who holds land in ايمه aima, a feoffee.

اماوس amā-was S̱. (अमावस्या or अमावास्या from अमा With, and r. वस Abide) s. f. The conjunction of the sun and moon, the change of the moon.

التمغا altamg̠ẖā T or āltamg̠ẖā, s. m. 1. The royal seal; a royal grant in perpetuity descending to posterity, royal insignia, royal diploma. 2. A tax levied on travellers. 3. tamg̠ẖā (among the Turks signifies) A stamp on gold or silver plate to certify its being of standard purity. (Me- ninski).
