ارشاد irshād A (inf. iv. of رشد) s. m. Direction, command, order.

ارشد arshad A adj. compar. (of رشید) Most up- right, most tenacious of the right way; a person who explains orders, commands, &c. (especially, of the deity).

برشا वर्षाः barshā S or varsh̤ā, s. f. 1. The rains, the third season (of the six) comprising Sāwan and Bhādoṅ. 2. Rain. S. برشارت (वर्षर्तु or वर्षा Rains, and ऋतु Sea- son) barsh̤ā- or barkh̤ā- or varsh̤ā-r̤itu, s. f. The rainy season. S̱. برشاکال (वर्षा Rains, and काल Season, time) barsh̤ā- or barkh̤ā- or varsh̤ā-kāl, s. m. The rainy season.

برشانا barshānā S̱. (from वर्षा) v. a. To rain.

برشبهـ brishabh S or brashabh (for वृषभ vr̤ish̤abh) s. m. A bull.

برشته birishta P part. pass. (of برشتن) Fried, broiled. S. برشکال वर्षकाल (from वर्ष Rain, and काल Season) barshkāl or varsh̤a-kāla, s. m. The rainy season, the rains.

برشتگي birishta-gī P s. f. Frying, broiling.

ترشا तृषा tr̤ish̤ā S s. f. Thirst; desire. See ترکها tirkhā. P. H. ترشاٴي turshāʼī (from ترشانا) s. f. Sourness, harshness, acidity. P. H. ترشانا turshānā (from ترش) v. n. To acidu- late, sour, turn sour.

ترشح tarashshuḥ A (inf. v. of رشح) s. m. Exu- ding, dropping (as, sweat, &c.). 2. Dripping, distilling. 3. A small rain.

خارشت ḵẖārisht P. s. f. The itch, the scab.

خارشتي ḵẖārisht-ī P. adj. Mangy, itchy, scabby.

خورشد ḵẖụrshid P s. m. See خورشيد.

درشت durusht P adj. Rough, hard, stiff, rigid, stern, morose, surly, oppressive, fierce, harsh.

درشتانه durusht-āna P adj. or adv. Roughish, rough, roughly.

درشتي durusht-ī P s. f. Roughness, harshness, severity, fierceness, asperity, moroseness.
