دگڙانا dagṛānā H v. a. To propel, to roll.

دهتورا dhatūrā S̱. (r. धत्तूर or धुस्तूर) s. m. Name of a plant, Datura fastuosa, or thorn- apple.

دراني durrānī P s. m. The name of a tribe of Paṭhāns, inhabiting the country about Ḳandhār. They are said to have got this name from wearing pearls in the ear. They are also called Abdālīs.

دڙهتا दृढता diṛhatā S or dr̤iṛhatā, s. f. Firmness, strength.

دريده darīda P part. pass. (of دريدن) Torn. دريده دهن darīda-dahan, adj. Plain-spoken, saying whatever comes uppermost.

A wheedler, a deceiver, coaxer. دم بازپسين dam-bāz pasīn, The last breath. دم بازي dam-bāz-ī, s. f. Wheedling, deceiving, coaxing, artfulness. دم باندهنا dam bāndhnā, To be attentive. دم بخود dam ba-ḵẖụd, adj. Silent. دمبدم dam ba-dam, adv. Breath by breath, every moment, constantly. دم بند dam-band, An alembick. دم بهرنا dam-bharnā, To boast. دم پخت dam- puḵẖt, s. m. A stew, a kind of pulāʼo. (See دم sign. 7). دم پهولنا dam phūlnā, To breathe short. دم پهونکنا dam phūnknā, To breathe, inspire. دم ٿوٿنا dam ṭūṭnā, To die. دم جگنا dam jagnā, v. n. To speak, to talk. دم چرانا

دهش dihish P (from دادن) s. f. Charity, bounty.

ديواليئي dewāleʼī S̱. (from دينا and لينا) s. f. Barter, traffick. See دين لين den len.

دوڙيال dauṛ-yāl S̱. adj. (dakh.) Running, wan- dering (star).
