اتمان ātmāṅ S̱. s. f. The soul: see آتما ātmā. آنا آتمان ānā ātmāṅ (for अनात्मा) The reverse of soul. S. آتمج आत्मज (आतमन् Self, body, and ज Born, from r. जन Be produced) ātmaj, s. m. A son. S̱. اتن (अ and तनु Body, q. d. Incorporeal) atan, n. prop. Kāmdeʼo, the god of love among the Hindūs.

آمڐنا umaḍnā H v. n. To overflow, abound, fall (as tears), gush, swell, increase or be poured out (as a river, clouds, an army, the heart, &c.).

اشہاد ishʼhād A (inf. iv. of شہادت) s. m. Ta- king to witness, bringing proof.

اڙهائي aṛhāʼī आर्द्धद्वय S̱. adj. Two and a half, (when used with a noun of number) twice and half (the aggregate number). s. f. A full gallop.

اونتکا अवन्तिका avantikā S s. f. Name of a city, the modern Oujein.

اڙنگا aṛangā S̱. (r. अड Strive, and अंग Body) s. m. 1. A mode of wrestling with the feet. 2. An obstacle.

ان راگ अनुराग anu-rāg S s. m. Affection, love, passion.

احکم aḥkam A adj. compar. (of حکیم) Strong- er, firmer, more stable, or very strong.

اذهان aẕʼhān A s. plur. (of ذهن ẕihn) Geniuses, intellects, capacities.
