اختراع iḵẖtirāﻌ A (inf. viii. of خرع) s. m. Inven- tion, inventing, fancying. اختراع کرنا iḵẖtirāﻌ karnā, To invent, devise.

آپدا आपदा ā-padā S s. f. Misfortune, calamity.

آواگمن āwā-gaman S̱. (from آنا To come, q. v. and गमन Going) s. Coming and going.

اونچائي ūnchā-ī S̱. (from اونچا q. v.) s. f. Height, elevation, eminence, talness, steepness.

اسپرها isprihā S̱. (for स्पृहा spr̤ihā) s. f. Inclina- tion, desire, wish.

اجناس ajnās A s. f. plur. (of جنس) 1. Kinds, sorts, species. 2. Goods, chattels, merchandise.

آسوده āsūda P adj. At rest, quiet, tranquil, glutted, satiated, satisfied, at ease, contented. آسوده حال āsūda-ḥāl, Full, at ease, affluent, in easy circumstances, comfortable, &c. Plur. آسودگان āsūdagān, Those at rest or ease, the quiet. H. A. اسوقت is-waḳt, This time, now. H. A. اسوقت us-waḳt, That time, then.

آپ āp S̱. (Sans. आत्मा Soul, self) pron. Self, selves, yourself, you Sir (used, instead of the personal pronoun of the second person, by an inferiour when addressing his superiour), his worship, &c. آپ سوارتهي āp-swārthī, adj. Selfish, seeking the interest of self.

اتتها a-tathā H adj. Powerless, without authority.
