آنند आनन्द आ and r. नदि Rejoice ā- nand S. (or a-nand) s. m. f. Happiness, joy, plea- sure, delight, felicity. آنندکند ānand-kand, Root (or source) of happiness. S. اننگ अनंग (अन् and अंग Body, i. e. اکٿنا ukaṭnā S̱. (perhaps, उत् and r. कड Break, separate) v. a. To dig up slowly a thing buried in the ground, to extract a secret gradually and artfully, to pump.

انهوانا anhwānā S̱. (tran. of انهانا q. v.) v. a. To bathe, wash, cause to bathe.

اتصال ittiṣal A (inf. viii. of وصل) s. m. Conjunc- tion, contact, adhesion, union, continuity, attach- ment, neighbourhood, contiguity, adjacency.

اپجانا upjānā S̱. (trans. of اپجنا upajnā, q. v.) v. a. To produce, to make grow, cultivate.

آدم گري ādam-garī P s. f. Humanity, benevo- lence.

آب گیر āb-gīr P s. A ditch in which water stands, a pond, an instrument like a broom for sprinkling water on a warp stretched for weaving.
