جهبا jhabbā H s. m. A tassel.

جلاب jullāb A s. m. A purge. (q. d. Drawing, from جلب Drew; and, in this sense, it is generally used in India: but, Golius says) A mixture of water and sirup (perfumed with rose- water, from Pers. گل A rose, and آب Water); hence, julap. S̱.H. جلا بلا jalā-balā, adj. 1. Fretful, passionate. 2. Scorched. See جل بل. S̱.H. جلا بهنا jalā-bhunā, adj. Passionate, hot-tem- pered. S̱.H. جلاپا jalāpā, s. m. (dakh.) Envy, anger.

جکهني jakhanī यक्षिणी S̱. s. f. 1. Wife of a جکهـ jakh, q. v. 2. A sort of female fiend, at- tached to the service of Durgā, and frequently maintaining, like a sylph or fairy, an intercourse with mortals.

جهٿالنا jhuṭālnā S̱. (see جهوٿهـ) v. a. 1. To prove to be false, to prove one in the wrong. 2. To pollute victuals by touching them, &c. منــﮩـ جهٿالنا muṅh jhuṭālnā, To eat something. منـﮩ‍ا منـﮩـ جهٿالنا muṅhā muṅh jhuṭālnā, To give a man the lie to his face.

جهول jhūl A. (corrupt. of جل jull) s. f. Body- clothes of cattle, housings, a bag, a wallet, a knapsack.

جوکهون jokhoṅ H s. f. See جوکهم jokhim.

جيبهي jībh-ī S̱. (from जिह्वा) s. f. 1. An instru- ment for cleaning the tongue. 2. A bit of a bridle.

جهڙک jhiṛak H (from جهڙکنا) s. f. Threat, jerk.

جهنڐي jhunḍī H s. f. A bush, a tuft of grass.

جهڙوتا jhaṛotā H s. m. The end of the season (of fruit, &c.), going out of season.
