جهلاجهل jhalājhal S̱. 1. adj. Luminous, resplen- dent, embroidered. 2. s. f. Splendour, glitter.

جانگهيا jānghiyā S̱. (from जंघा) s. m. A kind of breeches that do not cover the thigh.

جهاڙا jhāṛā H s. m. A stool, a purge. جهاڙاجهپٿي جانا jhāṛā jhapṭe jānā, To go to the ne- cessary. جهاڙاجهپٿا لينا jhāṛā jhapṭā lenā, To search. جهاڙاپهرنا jhāṛā phirnā, or جهاڙاجهٿکاپهرنا jhāṛā jhaṭkā phirnā, To walk among the bushes (which means) to go to the necessary. جهاڙادينا jhāṛā denā, To submit to search. دوکان جهاڙا dūkān-jhāṛā, s. m. Sweepings of a (druggistʼs) shop, compound medicine.

جوتکهي jotikh-ī S̱. (ज्यौतिषिक) s. m. An astrologer, an astronomer.

جهوا jhauwā झावुक S̱. s. m. 1. See جهاؤ jhāʼū. 2. A basket (without a cover).

جنگلا janglā जांगल S̱. 1. adj. Wild; s. m. Woody country, forest. 2. s. m. Name of a rāginī or musical mode.

جهڙوتا jhaṛotā H s. m. The end of the season (of fruit, &c.), going out of season.

جناٴي janāʼī S̱. (from جنانا) s. f. A midwife.

جهلوانا jhalwānā H v. a. Causal of جهلنا jhalnā, q. v.
