جانان jānān P 1. s. plur. (of جان) Lives, sweet- hearts. 2. sing. A sweetheart, one beloved.

جگنا jagnā जागरण S̱. v. n. To awake, to rouse, to be awake.

جگم jugam युग्म S̱. adj. A pair, brace, couple.

جٿل जटिल jaṭil S adj. Having matted hair.

جڙاٴي juṛāʼī S̱. (from جوڙنا q. v.) s. f. The price of joining, mending, &c. S̱. H. جڙپيڙ jaṛ-peṛ, s. f. Root and branch. جڙپيڙسي اکهاڙنا jaṛ-peṛ se ukhāṛnā, v. a. To extirpate.

At the time when, at the proper moment. جب کبهي jab kabhī or جب کبهو jab kabhū, Whenever. جب که jab ki, adv. At the time when, when, since. جب لگ jab-lag, adv. till when, whilst, as long as. جب نه تب jab na tab, adv. Now and then, perpetually. جبـﮩ‍ي jab-hī, adv. At the very time.

جر jarr A s. m. 1. Drawing, dragging. 2. The base, foundation, foot of a mountain. 3. The vowel kasra at the end of words. حرف جر or جار ḥarf-i-jarr or -jārr, A particle which gives to the noun a termination in kasra.

جهکورا jhakorā H s.m. Raining, a shower, a squall, a breeze, gust.

جهينگٿ jhīngaṭ H s. m. A steersman.
