جهاري jhārī S̱. (झर A cascade) s. f. 1. A pitcher with a long neck and a spout to it, an ewer. 2. For h. جهاڙي jhāṛī, q. v.

جهاگ jhāg H s. m. Foam, froth (of the ocean), scum.

جهاڙنا jhāṛnā H v.a. To sweep, brush, shift, clean, strain, knock off, dash, strike, flap, strike fire (as, with a flint), to beat (bushes, &c.). جهاڙپچهورکرديکهنا jhāṛ pachhor kar dekhnā (dakh.) To try, to prove, to examine. جهاڙنا پهونکنا jhāṛnā phūnknā, To exorcise, to repeat spells or charms. جهاڙڐالنا jhāṛ ḍālnā, v. a. To sweep out or away. جهاڙدينا jhāṛ denā, v. a. To brush, to clear away.

جلوه jalwa A (or jilwa) s. m. 1. Splendour, lus- tre. 2. The bridal bed or ornaments. جلوه گاه jalwa-gāh, s. f. Nuptial throne, place of display. جلوه گر jalwa-gar, adj. Splendid, conspicuous. جلوه گري jalwa-gar-ī, s. f. 1. Blandishments, affectation. 2. Conspicuity, splendour.

جبـﮩ‍ه jabha A s. m. The forehead. جبـﮩ‍ه سا jabha- sā, Rubbing oneʼs forehead on the ground; be- seeching, begging earnestly. جبـﮩ‍ه ساٴي jabha- sā-ī, The act of rubbing the forehead on the ground, beseeching earnestly, &c.

جهلگا jhilgā H 1. s. m. The netted bottom of a bed or couch when worn out and separated. 2. adj. A couch or bed is said to be جهلگا jhilgā, when the bottom is worn out or broken.

جبري jabarī A. s. f. Oppression, injury. adj. Compelled, forced.

جگتيتل जगतीतल jagatītal S s. m. The world, the earth, sublunary things.
