Poverty, want, inability. 2. Parsimony. تنگ دل tang-dil, adj. Narrow-hearted, miserly, niggard, illiberal. تنگدلي tang-dil-ī, s. f. Narrow-heartedness; niggardliness, stinginess, parsimony. تنگ دهن tang-dahan, adj. Small-mouthed; an epithet of a sweetheart. تنگ کرنا tang-karnā, 1. To straiten, to tighten, to narrow, to contract. 2. To distress. تنگ لينا tang-lenā, To tighten, to take in, to contract. بتنگ هونا ba-tang honā, To be in distress or dif- ficulty, to be distracted or harrassed, to be ex- hausted or tired.
