ترشا तृषा tr̤ish̤ā S s. f. Thirst; desire. See ترکها tirkhā. P. H. ترشاٴي turshāʼī (from ترشانا) s. f. Sourness, harshness, acidity. P. H. ترشانا turshānā (from ترش) v. n. To acidu- late, sour, turn sour.

تاويل tāwīl A (inf. ii. of اول) s. f. Explanation, elucidation, interpretation, paraphrase.

تافته tāfta P s.m. 1. A kind of silk, taffeta. 2. A colour in pigeons and horses, glossy cream colour.

تانبڙا tāmbṛā S̱. (from ताम्र) s. m. 1. A copper colour (in pigeons). 2. A false stone resem- bling a ruby. See تامڙا.

ترسناک tars-nāk P adj. Timid, cowardly, ter- rified.

تزٴين tazʼīn A (inf. ii. of زينت) s. f. Dressing oneʼs self, decoration, ornament, honour, jewel.

تعشق taʼaﻌshshuḳ A (inf. v. of عشق) s. m. Being or falling in love, making love.

ترهت tirhut तीरभुक्ति S̱. s. f. Name of a dis- trict.

ترلوک त्रिलोक tri-lok S m. (त्रि Three, and लोक World). s. The three worlds, i. e. Heaven, earth, and the regions under the earth; the universe. ترلوکي ناتهـ trilokī-nāth, Lord of the universe.

تـﮩتک tahattuk A (inf. v. of هتک) s. m. 1. (Orig. but not used in Hind.) The being torn (a veil, &c.). 2. Disgrace, dishonour.
