تڙپنا taṛapnā H or تڙپهنا taṛaphnā, v. n. 1. To flutter, palpitate, flounce, be agitated, writhe, jump, spring, bound, wriggle, toss. 2. To be very desirous about any thing.

تخت taḵẖt P s. m. A throne. تخت بخت taḵẖt baḵẖt, 1. Throne and fortune. 2. Used as a form of benediction, particularly by women, to signify wedlock and wealth. تخت پربيٿهالنا taḵẖt par baiṭhālnā, To enthrone. تخت پربيٿهنا taḵẖt par baiṭhnā, To reign. تخت چهوڙنا taḵẖt chhoṛnā, To abdicate a throne. تخت دار taḵẖt-dār, s. m. A king. تخت روان taḵẖt-i-rawān, s. m. A travelling throne, a throne on which the king is carried. تخت سي اتارنا taḵẖt se utārnā, To dethrone. تخت نشان taḵẖt-ni- shān, Seating on, or bestowing thrones. تخت نشين taḵẖt-nishīn, Sitting on a throne, reigning; a king, a sovereign. تخت نشيني taḵẖt-nishīn-ī, s. f. Accession to the throne, reign. تخت يا تخته taḵẖt yā taḵẖta, Either a throne or a bier (spoken on engaging in a desperate en- terprise).

تنوين tanwīn A (inf. ii. of نون) s. f. Nūnation, doubling the vowel with the final letter of a word in writing (which in pronunciation gives such vowel the additional sound of ن ṉ; as, تخميناً taḵẖmīnaṉ, اتفاقاً ittifāḳaṉ).

تماشا tamāshā A. (for تماشي inf. vi. of مشي) s. m. 1. An entertainment, show, a spectacle. 2. Sight, amusement fun, pleasure. تماشا بيني tamāshā-bīn-ī, s. f. Luxury, libertinism. تماشا کرنا tamāshā karnā, v. a. 1. To see. 2. To take a walk. 3. To jeer, to jest. تماشا کنان ta- māshā-kunān, Beholding, looking at for amuse- ment. تماش بين tamāsh-bīn, A spectator; a rake, an epicure, a whoremaster. تماش بيني tamāsh-bīn-ī, s. f. Raking, whoring, gallantry. A.P. تماشاگاه tamāshā-gāh, s. f. A place of show, a theatre. A. H. تماشاي tamāshā-ī, 1. s. m. f. A spectator. 2. adj. Fit for a spectacle. تبارک tabārak A v. Be blessed, bless. تبارک الله tabārak-allāh, God be blessed.

تناول tanāwul A (inf. vi. of نول) s. m. Eating. تناول کرنا tanāwul karnā, To eat.

ترحم taraḥḥum A (inf. v. of رحم) s. m. Pity, com- passion, kindness, mercy, lenity.

تيورس teʼoras तृतीयवर्ष S̱. The third year past or to come, year before last, year after the next.

تپ tap S 1. (तप) s. f. Heat, warmth. 2. (तपः) s. m. Devout austerity, religious pe- nance.

تصنيف taṣnīf A (inf. ii. of صنف) s. f. Invention, composition, writing (of a book, &c.). (Plur. تصنيفات or تصانيف). تصنيف کرنا taṣnīf karnā, To compose, write (a book, &c.).
