تحريص taḥrīṣ A (inf. ii. of حرص) s. f. Instiga- tion, stimulation. تحريص کرنا taḥrīṣ karnā, To stimulate, to entice, to allure.

تضيع taẓīﻌ A (inf. ii. of ضيع) s. f. Spoiling, wasting, idling (away time). تضيع اوقات taẓī-iﻌ- auḳāt, Idling away time; ennui, weariness.

تنگناٴي tang-nāʼī P s. f. A strait place or passage, a strait.

تفاخر tafāḵẖur A (inf. vi. of فخر) s. m. Boasting, vaunt.

ترازو tarāzū P s. f. A scale, a balance.

تمامي tamām-ī A. s. f. 1. Completion, perfection, conclusion, totality. 2. Brocade, cloth of gold, tissue. 3. adj. The whole or entire.

تمبان tambān P s. m. Trousers. See تنبان.

تومان tomān P s. m. 1. A myriad, 10,000. 2. A sum of money equal to 10,000 Arabic silver drachmas (which are about one third less than those of the Greeks): also, a sum equal to fifteen dollars and a half. 3. Districts, into which a kingdom is divided, each being sup- posed to furnish 10,000 fighting men. تاج خروس tāj-i-ḵẖaros P s. m. The comb of a cock; the cockscomb flower (Amaranthus, or Celosia).

توسل tawassul A (inf. v. of وسل) s. m. 1. Con- junction, copulation. 2. Introduction (to ano- ther person).
