تعريف taﻌrīf A (inf. ii. of عرف) s. f. 1. Ex- planation, description. 2. Praise, praising. 3. Assertion. تعريف المحجـﮩول بالمحجـﮩول taﻌrīfu-l-majʼhūl bi-l-majʼhūl, Explaining in terms as little understood as the thing intended to be ex- plained.

تبصر tabaṣṣur A (inf. v. of بصر) s. m. Sight, dis- tinct perception, attentive consideration.

تهن than S̱. s. m. (स्तन) Udder. تهندار than-dār, An animal with a large udder, or having an udder. S̱. تـﮩن (in Braj तिहिं or तिहुं) tihiṅ or tihuṅ, That very.

تصرف taṣarruf A (inf. v. of صرف) s. m. 1. Posses- sion, use, sway. 2. Expenditure, disposal, em- bezzlement, extravagance. تصرف کرنا or تصرف مين لانا taṣarruf karnā, or taṣarruf meṅ lānā, To take or get possession of, to apply to oneʼs own purpose, embezzle, occupy. Plur. تصرفات taṣarrufāt (in general acceptation for) The sum total of expenses.

تسنن tasannun A (inf. v. of سنّت) s. m. The being or becoming a Sunnī.

تراو tirāʼo S̱. or tarāʼo (from ترانا) s. m. Swim- ming.

تماچه tamācha P. s. m. A slap, a blow. See طمانچه t̤amāncha. H.S̱. تماخرامارنا tamāḵẖrā mārnā, v. a. (inelegant) 1. To reproach in jest. 2. To put on airs of consequence in poverty.

تبيان tibyān A or tabyān (from بين) s. Becoming or making manifest, manifestation.

تشويش tashwīsh A (inf. ii. of شوش) s. f. 1. Con- fusion. 2. Distraction. 3. Anxiety, grief, dis- quietude, alarm, apprehension.

ترس tars H s. m. Compassion, mercy. ترس کهانا tars khānā, To compassionate, to pity.
